# Remote access across devices

Follow conversations from the web or another computer while keeping the execution target clear.

## Prepare the target computer
1. Sign in to MATLOOK Agent on the computer that owns the work.
2. Open Settings → Account → Mobile sync (手机同步), select workspaces and enable synchronization.
3. Save after changing selected workspaces. Keep the application running and connected.
4. Sign in with the same account on the web or another computer, then select this target and its workspace.
## View and continue a conversation
Depending on client capability, you can read results, send messages, handle tool or plan approvals, stop a turn and switch supported models. Check online status, enabled sync and the correct conversation before acting.
## What is not automatically transferred?
A conversation mirror is not a copy of every folder, attachment or raw tool output. Inference and tools run on the owning computer. Same-named projects do not merge across devices. Review the selected workspaces before synchronizing conversation content.
## When the computer is offline
You can read synchronized history, but new commands need the computer to return online. ECS does not automatically take over its local tasks. Avoid repeated submissions; inspect progress after reconnection first.
## Troubleshooting
Missing computer: check account and application state. Missing workspace: check synchronization scope and initial sync. Missing approval: confirm the original conversation has an active request. Return to the original computer to investigate inaccessible attachments.

## Mobile chat and deliverable previews
Update the desktop, server and mobile client together to enable this feature. The compact chat header keeps the conversation name, execution computer status, Files and More. Tap the name or More to change computer, workspace or model. Global bottom navigation returns when you leave the chat.

Open Files or a file card in a reply to inspect an explicitly linked deliverable. Images and PDFs support zoom and page navigation; spreadsheets support sheet selection, paging and horizontal scrolling. Spreadsheet previews show saved values without recalculation or macros, limited to 10,000 rows, 100 columns and 40 characters per cell. Download the original for complete contents.

Word and PowerPoint use a same-name PDF exported no earlier than the source when available. Otherwise DOCX displays text and PPTX displays slide text; download the original for images and layout. Legacy DOC/PPT and other unsupported formats remain downloadable.

Files are retrieved on demand from a computer with synchronization enabled, with a 20 MB per-file limit. Folders are not uploaded wholesale. The first view requires the computer online; cached previews remain readable offline. Refresh after files change or move. Signing out clears local preview caches. Android can save originals or open them in another application.

## Create projects and conversations from another computer
Select the owning computer in Execution target, then select its synchronized workspace. Use New project or New conversation in the remote directory. The button beside a project creates a conversation inside that project. Empty workspaces also support new projects and unassigned conversations.

Check the computer, workspace and project in the creation dialog. Wait for the owning computer's receipt; after a lost response, use Retry to confirm the same creation instead of submitting a second request. Wait in background hides the dialog without canceling submitted work. Creation is unavailable while offline, synchronization is paused, or the owning client lacks support. New conversations inherit that workspace's model and permission settings; execution never moves to the controller or ECS automatically.

When a remote execution target is selected, the main menu and new-conversation shortcut also open remote creation instead of creating locally.

## Remote workspace collaboration
After selecting a remote execution computer, conversations can be renamed and moved between projects remotely. Skills, sources and knowledge follow the selected computer's workspace, not the local machine or ECS. Remote knowledge edits keep version history; knowledge marked local-only is not exposed to the controller. The owning computer must be online with workspace synchronization enabled; upgrade the controller and the executor together.

Remote deliverables can be previewed and downloaded to your machine. Desktop original downloads are limited to 512 MB, and existing same-name files are never overwritten. Slow-network downloads support limited segmented retries and can be canceled; on failure the conversation draft is kept with a clear message so you can retry later.

## Candidate: model display names

The integration candidate retains model names supplied by the owning computer. An older owner without a name falls back to the model identifier. A display label does not change context limits, permissions or the execution computer. Integrated-package acceptance is still pending.
